The heart is a lonely hunter

i just finished reading the heart is a lonely hunter and i thought that it was very good. last night when i was reading i was so shocked to see that mister Singer had died! I knew that everyone would be crumbled from there.......To me the best part os the book was in the second part, chapter 7, when Doctor Copeland held the christmas party and made his speech to all of the black people and told them about Karl Marx....that was the best part to me because it is so true, evn though that book was written sixty plus years ago when slavery was still going on and stuff that speech still pertains to evryone today!

1.throughout the book i often wondered if what mister Brannon felt for mick was that he liked her like a crush or he liked her like he wanted her to be his daughter?

2.Also i wonder if when harry and Mick went to the woods for a swim and the picnic if they had intercourse or what because i was not quite sure due to the way that evrything was worded.

I enjoyed the way the book was written and if i had to re-write it i think i would do ot in journal or poetry form because i think that the=at would give it a good spin and i think that it would still make logic sense written that way.
Also i found it interesting how evryone starrted off with a valued person or a dream to conquer and by the end they had lost the person or the hope for their dream. evryone thought that mr singer made a difference in their lives and unfortunately they were not able to make a difference in his life and although everyone had put there faith and trust in mister Singer, he was not able to do the same in him.................I really enjoyed this book on your free tinme if you did not read it you should defiantly read it!
